Those who missed Saturday’s A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix concert, REALLY missed some groovin’ fun. Not only was the music from Carl, B.C. and Hunter truly authentic, but lots of the on stage antics and audience behavior were reminiscent of those good ol’ days.
Among the highlights of the night: a bra thrown on stage from an enthusiastic audience member, three well choreographed “go go dancers” on stage who frequently changed their outfits to fit the time and mood (some of that clothing was thanks to our own costume shop and Susan Williams), a truly psychodelic light show from production manager Steve Judson, and a stellar drum solo. In fact, that drum solo can be viewed on our Facebook page.
All in all…what a night! And now the tour begins! Merritt tells us one of the Tribute’s stops will be in Japan. Neat, huh?
